Let's be honest. People are tired of the old way of doing politics, and tired of being let down.
That's why my campaign for the Senedd is built on a simple promise: no spin, just substance. You won't find polished photos with Westminster insiders here. You'll find me. Simple, honest, and ready to work.
I am standing to be your Member of the Senedd because our communities deserve a representative who shows up, listens more than they talk, and serves the people, not their own career. Whether you live in our rural agricultural heartlands or our proud, post-industrial valleys, I am asking for your vote on May 7th so we can build a fairer, stronger Wales together.
My passion for helping people comes from a deep-seated belief that everyone deserves a fair chance to succeed. I've seen firsthand how systemic barriers, rather than a lack of talent, can hold people back, and it fuels my determination to fight for a fairer society. This isn’t just a political slogan for me, it’s a personal conviction that our strength lies in our ability to support one another. I am driven by the idea that when we work together, we can make a real difference and create lasting, positive change that has wide-reaching effects for our families and our communities. It is this core belief in the power of collective action and a commitment to justice that motivates me to serve.
My journey to politics has not been a straight line, and I believe that makes me a better candidate to represent you.
My career began at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, where as an outreach officer, I helped people from non-traditional backgrounds find a path into education. Seeking a different challenge, I spent time as a farm worker in our rural communities, doing everything from general farm maintenance to managing a herd of cattle. Most recently, I retrained and completed an electrical apprenticeship, and now work on the tools as an electrician with Trivallis.
This varied path—from a university office to a muddy field, and onto the tools—has given me a genuine, hands-on understanding of the different lives, struggles, and communities that make up our diverse constituency.
My commitment to serving our communities isn't just a slogan; it is proven by a consistent record of action.
I have always believed that our collective voice is stronger than a single one, which is why I stepped up to become a trade union rep. Every day, I see how low wages and insecure work hold families back, and I fight for the fair treatment, decent conditions, and better pay working people deserve.
This dedication to community extends to my role as Chair of the Ynysybwl Community Council, where I have supported local families through difficult times, including the devastation of local floods. Everything I do is focused on empowering people and fighting for a stronger, fairer community.
I am incredibly proud to be standing as part of First Minister Eluned Morgan’s Welsh Labour team. Today, we launched our official campaign with a serious, fully-costed plan to deliver progress you can actually feel.
If elected on May 7th, I will champion our bold new pledges and my own local vision for our communities:
A £4 Billion New Deal for Our NHS: We are committing £4 billion to build and upgrade hospitals across Wales. Crucially, we are also rolling out same-day mental health services across every health board, so anyone who needs support can get it immediately.
Tackling the Cost of Living: We are keeping money in your pocket by introducing a £2 cap on bus fares (and £1 fares for young people) to keep our communities connected. We are also driving down energy bills by making Wales a clean energy superpower.
A Fair Deal for Workers: I will fight for the Real Living Wage across our region. A Welsh Labour government is officially committing to a fair pay agreement for social care workers, and we are ending the scandal of term-time-only pay by guaranteeing full-year-round pay for school support staff.
Ending Homelessness: We have made a cast-iron guarantee to end homelessness in Wales by 2034, and we pledge that no child will be forced to live in bed and breakfast accommodation by 2030.
Creating Green Jobs & Skills: We are introducing a lifelong training guarantee to ensure workers of all ages can upskill and retrain for the well-paid green jobs of the future.
Protecting our Environment: We are pushing for stronger, tougher regulations on polluters who dump sewage in our waterways, and securing vital investment for robust local flood defences.
Brycheiniog Tawe Nedd is a constituency of contrasts—a unique amalgamation of rural farming heartlands and proud, post-industrial towns. To represent it effectively requires a candidate who doesn't just read about this divide, but has lived on both sides of it.
My time as a farm worker has given me a deep, genuine understanding of the pressures facing our farming communities in Powys. As an electrician working on the tools, I understand the importance of skilled trades, the state of our local housing, and the economic realities of our post-industrial areas in Neath and the Swansea valley.
I don't need to be briefed on these different worlds because I have lived and worked in them. I am equipped to be a strong, authentic voice for every single person in this constituency.
